Rainbow Stork Search is a program of Connections Adoption Services, Inc. This program is dedicated to placing African American and African American bi-racial children with loving adoptive families.

Rainbow Stork Search was started in large part because we were receiving many inquiries from birthparents of African-American and African American bi-racial children. Over and over again, we heard from these birthparents that other adoption agencies didn’t want to work with them or didn’t have any waiting families available. We wanted to develop a larger pool of prospective adoptive families so that we could give these birthparents the same kind of choices offered to birthparents of Caucasian children.

This has turned into a win-win for both birthparents and adoptive parents. Birthparents are able to choose from a wide range of families to find the perfect match for themselves and their child. And because we offer this choice, more birthparents keep contacting us. This means that adoptive families are being chosen more quickly, cutting down waiting times considerably.

MOST FAMILIES IN THIS PROGRAM ARE MATCHED WITH BIRTHPARENTS WITHIN A MONTH OF JOINING THE RAINBOW STORK SEARCH PROGRAM.
