Fees
Home Study — $1,750
A family must have a valid home study to join the Rainbow Stork Search program. The home study fee covers both the home study process and our Parenting the Adopted Child class. We can only do home studies for families who have their home base in Maine.
Application Fee — $2,700
This fee is the basic fee to be in the Rainbow Stork Search program. This fee is non-refundable. For this fee, we will help you complete a family profile if you don't already have one. We send these family profiles out to birthparents when they contact us about making an adoption plan. We will also put your profile on all of our birthparent websites to give you the maximum amount of exposure.
Match Fee — $13,000
This fee is payable once you are presented with and have accepted a match. If the match is not completed for any reason, you may apply 100% of this fee to another match. If you choose to go to another agency to find another match, this fee is refundable at 25%.
Birthparent/Legal Expenses — Variable
This will cover allowable living expenses for the birthparents, counseling for the birthparents, legal expenses for birthparent relinquishment paperwork, and fees for interstate compact paperwork. In cases where a birthmother does not have insurance, medical expenses will also be included. If the match is not completed for any reason, fees that have already been used for any of these expenses are non-refundable.
